I always try to review event spaces on a continual basis because I its better for my sanity to check out a space before I need one than at the ninetieth minute frantically scouring the internet and city streets.
After reading an random article on the Daily Mail (yes I admit to this, I mean you never know where you will find inspiration – right?), I learnt about a movie premiere at the Ham Yard hotel, so I decided to check it out for myself. I met with the delightful Sam, Events Manager at Ham Yard Hotel in Soho, London. The space did not disappoint. It was awesome. It featured a number of beautiful dining (and drinking) spaces – as expected. The decor was fab – always a plus. The ambience was refreshing and quite different from many hotel spaces. Unique is always great if you’re trying to set yourself apart from the rest of the pack. I mean lets face it, there are only so many times you can entertain a client or guests at The Gherkin, Duck & Waffle and the Chiltern Firehouse (although the latter will probably give you mad cuddos). Ham Yard also features also features a bowling alley, private disco area and a private cinema that seats up to 190 – perfect for corporate events and a great and varied selection of meeting rooms. The courtyard was also very inviting, I could envision a late spring or summer event utilizing this space nicely. I haven’t yet used this space for a formal event (but I will), but on looks alone and the professionalism of the staff, I would expect a great event to be had at this location. And the price point although dependent on one’s exact requirements, it was reasonable and what I would expect of a hotel of this quality.

Wow, that’s amazing event spaces. Some hotels really invest in events and business meetings!
